POL134D: Latin American Politics In Film And Media, Summer II 2008

NEWS:If you are having trouble accessing some of the online readings, including those in The Economist, try going to the UCSD Library website, then searching the e-journals for the appropriate publication, then look for the article. This works for me - I just verified it. For example, search on the term "economist", then select the electronic version, then search on "Venezuela" in October of 2004 to find the article entitled, "What revolution?". Note that you need to search by countryname and date - searching by title won't always work.

I suggest you buy locally or order a copy of Skidmore and Smith's Modern Latin America TODAY!

If you are having trouble accessing the Economist readings, you can get to them indirectly IF you are on campus. Go to the UCSD Libraries web page, then search on Journal Title "Economist". When it comes up, selece "more electronic versions", and go to Lexis Nexis. That will get you there. Let me know if you have any trouble.

If you are still having trouble, go to this site, then search for the article by title and year. This WILL WORK - I just verified it.
